At Macclesfield Tutorial College we offer an extensive range of courses, delivered by experienced and enthusiastic teachers. We have a proud history of helping students achieve their ambitions in whichever field of study they choose, from English Language and Literature, Modern Foreign Languages such as French, Spanish or German, to the Sciences, Humanities, Business Studies and many others.
The College is a great place to learn, offering a focussed environment whilst retaining a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We offer classrooms to cater for one-to-one tuition or larger spaces for group learning, as well as fully equipped science laboratories for practical work.
The Convenience of Online Lessons
However, if attending the College is not always possible, lessons can also be delivered online or, where circumstances demand, in the student’s home. Online lessons provide a convenient way to access the benefits of tuition from the College from the convenience of your own home. With full audio-visual aids, tutor and student are able to interact as if they were in the room together, sharing screens, diagrams, documents and ideas.
Technology plays an important role in modern education and is utilised throughout the college, providing audio-visual learning aids, interactive whiteboards, online research and learning facilities, with Wi-Fi throughout. We also have a well stocked research library and areas for quiet study or revision.
One to One Tuition
Our excellent facilities enable the college to offer both individual and group tuition to full and part-time students but teaching at the college is based upon the needs of the student. The college provides one to one tuition which focuses primarily on the needs of the individual. It also allows for the lessons to be flexible so that other commitments can be undertaken. Tuition in small classes allows for a strong focus on personal support and promotes a sociable environment; this builds confidence and leads to greater achievement.
One to one tuition means that you always receive the full attention of your tutor who is able to vary the pace and style of teaching according to your needs. Furthermore, greater focus can be given to areas of the syllabus which you find more challenging and where greater support is required. Individual tuition also enables us to structure a timetable to your needs, meaning you can often study at times convenient to you, or arrange an online lesson when you are not able to make it into College.
